– Os resumos serão apresentados apenas em texto (corpo do resumo) sem tabelas e figuras.
– Os textos dos resumos submetidos deverão ser redigidos em português ou inglês.
– Deverão ser escritos em papel A4 com 3 cm de margem, letra 12 com espaçamento simples, letra Times New Roman.
– O resumo deverá incluir: Título do trabalho; Autores (primeiro e último nome sem incluir graus académicos); e-mail para contacto (apenas do primeiro autor); Introdução; Objetivos; Procedimentos Metodológicos; Resultados; Considerações Finais; 3 a 6 palavras-chave; referências bibliográficas (se existirem no corpo do texto).
– O resumo não poderá exceder as 300 palavras.
NORMAS PARA FORMATAÇÃO DOS ARTIGOS PARA PUBLICAÇÃO NA REVISTA PORTUGUESA DE CIÊNCIAS DO DESPORTO
Formato
– Os manuscritos deverão ser escritos em papel A4 com 3 cm de margem, letra 12 com espaçamento simples, letra Times New Roman, e não exceder as 6 páginas;
– As páginas deverão ser numeradas sequencialmente, sendo a página de título a nº1.
Dimensões e estilo:
– Os artigos serão rejeitados quando escritos em português ou inglês de fraca qualidade linguística;
– A distribuição das secções deverá seguir as seguintes orientações:
Página 1: Título e Resumo
Página 2: Introdução
Página 3: Material e métodos
Página 4 e 5: Resultados e Discussão (em conjunto ou separado consoante a opção dos autores)
Página 6: Referências
Nota: Existe, contudo, alguma flexibilidade na distribuição das páginas por secção, desde que não seja ultrapassado o limite total de 6 páginas.
Título
– Título conciso, mas suficientemente informativo;
– Nomes dos autores, com o primeiro e último nome (não incluir graus académicos)
– “Running head” concisa não excedendo os 45 caracteres;
– Nome e local da instituição onde o trabalho foi realizado;
– Nome e morada do autor para onde toda a correspondência deverá ser enviada, incluindo endereço de e-mail.
Resumo
– O resumo deverá ser feito em português e em inglês
– Deverão ser incluídas 3 a 6 palavras-chave;
– Não deverão ser utilizadas abreviaturas;
– O resumo não deverá exceder as 150 palavras.
Introdução
– Deverá ser suficientemente compreensível, explicitando claramente o objetivo do trabalho e relevando a importância do estudo face ao estado atual do conhecimento;
Material e métodos
– Amostra, instrumentos de recolha e análise de dados deverão ser obrigatoriamente incluídos.
– Os métodos deverão ser ajustados ao objetivo do estudo; deverão ser replicáveis e com elevado grau de fidelidade;
Resultados
– Os resultados deverão apenas conter os dados que sejam relevantes para a discussão;
– O texto só deverá servir para relevar os dados mais relevantes e nunca duplicar informação incluída em tabelas ou figuras;
– Unidades, quantidades e fórmulas deverão ser utilizados pelo Sistema Internacional (SI units).
– Todas as medidas deverão ser referidas em unidades métricas.
Discussão
– Os dados novos e os aspetos mais importantes do estudo deverão ser relevados de forma clara e concisa;
– Não deverão ser repetidos os resultados já apresentados;
– A relevância dos dados deverá ser referida e a comparação com outros estudos deverá ser estimulada;
– As especulações não suportadas pelos métodos estatísticos não deverão ser evitadas;
– A discussão deverá ser completada com um parágrafo final onde são realçadas as principais conclusões do estudo.
Referências
– As referências deverão ser citadas no texto por número e compiladas alfabeticamente e ordenadas numericamente;
– Os nomes das revistas deverão ser abreviados conforme normas internacionais (ex: Index Medicus);
– Todos os Autores deverão ser nomeados (não utilizar et al.)
– Apenas artigos ou obras em situação de “in press” poderão ser citados. Dados não publicados deverão ser utilizados só em casos excecionais sendo assinalados como “dados não publicados”;
– Utilização de um número elevado de resumos ou de artigos não “peer-reviewed” será uma condição de não aceitação;

Figuras
– Figuras e ilustrações deverão ser utilizadas quando auxiliam na melhor compreensão do texto;
– As figuras deverão ser numeradas em numeração árabe na sequência em que aparecem no texto;
– As figuras deverão ser impressas em folhas separadas daquelas contendo o corpo de texto do manuscrito. No ficheiro informático em processador de texto, as figuras deverão também ser colocadas separadas do corpo de texto nas páginas finais do manuscrito e apenas uma única figura por página;
– As figuras e ilustrações deverão ser submetidas com excelente qualidade gráfico, a preto e branco e com a qualidade necessária para serem reproduzidas ou reduzidas nas suas dimensões;
– As fotos de equipamento ou sujeitos deverão ser evitadas.
Quadros
– Os quadros deverão ser utilizados para apresentar os principais resultados da investigação.
– Deverão ser acompanhados de um título curto;
– Os quadros deverão ser apresentados com as mesmas regras das referidas para as legendas e figuras;
– Uma nota de rodapé do quadro deverá ser utilizada para explicar as abreviaturas utilizadas no quadro.

Submission Form
Presenters are invited to submit abstract and article presentations.
The presentations must be original and unique according to the several domains of the congress, namely:
- Learning and teaching sports game
- Performance analysis of sports game
- Coach formation and sports coaching
- Cognition / Action in sports game
Presentation format – general conditions:
Presenters (= first authors) must be registered and have paid registration fees for the congress at the latest by May 2017 to guarantee publication of the abstract in the abstract CD of the VI CIJD. Later registrations will lead to an exclusion of the abstract and an exclusion from the scientific programme. Afterwards, the scientific committee will select the most pertinent and original abstracts to be figure in the special number of the Revista Portuguesa de Ciências do Desporto.
Abstract guidelines
-The Abstract must be typed into the Abstract Submission Form.
-Abstracts are restricted to 300 words (including spaces, title, authors and institutions).
-It may not contain any tables or graphs and is restricted to the following format: A4 size, Times New Roman characters, size characters’ number 12.
-References in the text have to be cited at the end of the abstract (they must fit in the 300 words).
-Posters must include: Title; authors’ name; first author’s e-mail; Introduction; aim(s); Procedures; Results; Final Considerations; References; and 3 to 6 key-words.
-All content of the abstract is in the sole responsibility of the author(s) of the abstract.
-You can preview the abstract during the submission process. Abstracts will be printed exactly as they appear in the preview.
-Only at this stage editing of your abstract will be possible.
-The receipt of your abstract submission will be confirmed by e-mail.
POSTERS PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
-Poster presentations will be held at FADEUP center.
-Each poster must be 1,20m length and 0,90m wide.
-Posters must include: Title; authors’ name; first author’s e-mail; Introduction; aim(s); Procedures; Results; Final Considerations; and References.
-Presenters must be aware of the following program for set up, presentation and removal of posters:
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS GUIDELINES
-Oral presentations will be held in classrooms and Auditoriums of FADEUP.
-Authors will dispose up to 10 minutes for presentation followed by 5 minutes for questioning.
-A data-show and personal computer will be at the presenters’ disposal.
-Presenters should be at the designated room 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the presentation for testing of the slides.
-In every section, there will be at least one coordinator to organize and assist in presentations.
-Presentation certificates will be given to the participants at the end of the oral presentation.
Manuscript formatting rules for publication in the Portuguese journal of sport Sciences
Format
- All manuscripts must be typed in A4 format, with margins of 3 cm, using Times New Roman style, size 12 with single space, and having no more than 6 pages in length;
- Pages must be numbered sequentially, with the title page as number1.
Size and style
- Papers will be reject if they are written in a very poor Portuguese or English language;
- The distribution of the sections should be done in accordance with the following guidelines:
Page 1: Title and Abstract
Page 2: Introduction
Page 3: Material and methods
Pages 4 and 5: Results and discussion (together or separately depending on the authors’ choice)
Page 6: References
Note: There is some flexibility in the distribution of the pages per section, as long as the limit of 6 pages is not exceeded.
Title
- Brief and highly informative title;
- Author(s) name(s) with first and middle names (do not write academic degrees);
- Running head with no more than 45 letters;
Name and place of the academic institutions;
Name, address, Fax number and email of the person to whom the proof is to be sent.
Abstract
- Portuguese and English abstracts are mandatory;
- Include 3 to 6 key words;
Do not include abbreviations; - Do not exceed 150 words.
Introduction
- It should be sufficiently understandable, clearly explaining the purpose of the work and highlighting the importance of the study in relation to the current state of knowledge.
Material and methods
- Sample, instruments and data analysis needs to be included;
- The methods should be adjusted to the purpose of the study and replicated with highly degree of reliability.
Results
- The results must provide only relevant results that are useful for discussion and do not repeat information includes in tables or figures;
- Units, quantities and formulas should be expressed according to the International System (SI units).
Discussion
- New information coming from data analysis should be presented clearly and concisely;
- Do no repeat results already presented;
- Data relevancy should be referred and compared to existing information from previous research;
- Speculation not supported by data results should be avoided;
- The discussion should be ended with a final paragraph highlighting the main conclusions of the study.
References
- The references used in the text body should be cited by number, and alphabetically listed;
- The names of journals should be abbreviated according to international standards (e g Index Medicus);
- All authors should be nominated (do not use et al.) in the final list of references;
- Only published or “in press” papers can be cited. Not published data are exceptional accepted and should be indicated as “non published data”;
- The use of a large number of abstracts or non-peer-reviewed papers will be a non-acceptance condition.

Figures
- Figures and illustrations should be used only when it helps to a better understanding of the text content;
- Figures should be numbered in Arabic numerals in the sequence they appear in the text;
- Each figure is to be presented in separated sheets with a short and precise title;
- The figures should be printed on separate sheets from those containing the text manuscript body. In the word file, the figures should also be placed separated from the body of text in the final pages of the manuscript and only a single figure per page;
- All figures and illustrations should have excellent graphic quality, in black and white and with the necessary quality to be reproduced or reduced in its dimensions;
- Photos of equipment and people should be avoided.
Tables
- Tables should be used to present the main results of the research;
- Each table should have a short title;
- Tables should be presented within the same rules as Legends and Figures;
- Table footnotes should be used to describe abbreviations used in the table.
